African Heritage Parade in
Bus lets off and picks up at
Broadway and Auburn Sts., Paterson, NJ
Under the leadership of Assistant
Director Ms Jacqueline Saez, the Band forms up in front of
headquarters early Saturday morning and gets ready to board the
bus that will take them to the Paterson African Heritage Parade.
Wiz Kid Elijah Shy carries the
stilts he made working with Mr. Goode this
past week . He'll be performing as a
stilt walker instead of a drummer in today's parade.
As usual, Mr. Goode and Ms Saez
are last to board the bus, which leaves for Paterson at 9:00 AM.
Parade Kick-off is at 10:00 AM from Broadway and Auburn Street in
In Paterson, the parade started
at Integrity Masonic Temple.
The parade headed down Broadway
towards East Side Park.
Shortly after this photo was
taken, our Stilt Walker, Elijah Shy, discovered one of his stilts
was defective, so Mr. Goode helped him down and he traveled the
rest of the way on foot.
The parade ended at East Side
Park, where members of the Integrity Masonic Temple provided
lunch for the band.
After a good lunch, the Band put
on a small Band performance for their hosts.
